World Oral Health Day 2018Saturday, February 24th, 2018

The Uganda Dental Association (UDA) is organizing events to honour the Annual World Oral Health Day (WOHD). This year’s celebrations will be marked on 24thth March 2018 in Uganda. This is the international day to celebrate the benefits of a healthy mouth and promote worldwide awareness of the issues around oral health and how it relates to the overall health of an individual. These events will involve a walk through town, blood donation, setting up information and screening tents at KCCA clinics and Primary schools in Kampala. In addition, the different practices will be encouraged to take part in World Oral Health day celebrations across the country. They are to make their own banners, carry out screening, simple extractions as well as oral health education.
The climax of the celebrations will take place on Saturday 24th, 2018 at Railway Grounds. There will be different activities targeting different families. Specialists will also be present for consultations, oral health education, Screening and minor treatments.
